It can be tuned out, but those DOD lifters are JUNK JUNK JUNK. For 200$ you can delete it and have the peace of mind of having good parts.Quote:

urs is prob from an envoy or v8 trailblaser non ss since its a 5.3 and that pan is used in trail blasers

I didnt have time to read this whole topic. I dont remember if this engine is gen3 or 4. FWIW if your dod engine is not gen4 you cant put the nnbs valley cover on it. The gen4 cover has the oil pressure sending unit boss built into it.
Is it possible to be gen 4 but 24x reluctor?
