definately sounds like a driveline component, Now that its spinning faster its noticeable to where before it wasn't. X2 take it out and get it balanced..
i went from 3:07s to 4:56s same drop kit same everything started getting NASTY vibrations at 80mph. put a 4 degree pinion shim in due to my flip kit i can do about 115 or so now before its a problem it has something to do with the pinion angle im guessing for you as well. i think the change in the speed of the driveshaft rotation makes it really noticeable that the pinion is off. my vibrations are nasty nast nasty scares me pretty good.
1 would go with a 3400 multi disk vigilante restall and get a built drive shaft with the pinion angle done to the truck and change the 22s for something lighter.good luck bro.
i dont really have a drop kit on it except for the shackles i put on it when it was new and i just recently did all these mods so i really dont have the mulla to change out anything.but just asking what is the differance between that stall and the one i have except the stall speed?
First of all... Scrap the 22's and you'll see a considerable time difference. They probably weight 100 lbs a peice. you have to think about the rotating weight on wheels and tires. Also, How loose is the stall you have now??? How many rpms can you foot brake your stall to now/what do the rpms flash to without foot braking? Good luck man keep us posted
if i brake stall it goes to 2800 rpm i have'nt seen were it flashes too when i just punch it.as far as the 22s go they way 87lbs and the stalk steel ones 77lbs
were your before times on your lighter wheel/tire setup? or were both runs on the 22's?
both runs were on my 22s i wanted too put slicks on the stalk ones but i think i need to look into a lighter set.
Hate to burst your bubble but all I did was .2 better with the same swap. I too was dissapointed but thats about the diff I got. And ditch the 22's for al. rims and slicks and watch the times drop! :)
