In my opinion. AWD will not be worth the effort for manual trans. 6 speed or Awd automatic. Then again wasn't the summit quadra duace 6 speed. . . .Not sure about that one and cant find anything online about it. I always wanted that car.
I have heard of people using a t5 out of a mustang to work with the ls series motors. they should be a pretty good option. and I have seen t56s mated to transfer cases, but I cant tell you where they got the parts from..
Yes the quadra duse or what ever is a t56 and there has been pep who have mated the t56 to a t case but you have to make your on using a mustang tail shaft housing and it loooks like a whore to do the t5 may be a good idea tho I'll look into that has anyone ever seen one mated to a tcase
Iv hear a fue guys talk about it bein slow and bein nothing like a power glide tb
i hate digging this one up, but it showed up when searching for 5spd & AWD
nope, that was the NV1500 (don't use this weaksauce piece with a V8 - i don't even know if it'll bolt up)
the S10 NV3500 was only with the 4.3 trucks, and it (the M50) had a closer gear set and longer tailshaft than the fullsize versions (MG5).
as for an AWD swap, i know that the NP149 t-case is what was used in the Silverados/Denalis/Escalades and people have swapped to them from the NP246 Autotrac, but i think they have a different spline count than the typical 5spd manual t-case (NP241)
