The sad thing about BBC's running that fast is that you need 550+ cubes to touch the 8's. But it's a moot point because you can't build an LS motor that big. That's why BBCs are best for big cubes.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but BBC's are limited RPM wise unless you put a ton of money into them. LSx engines car whine up just as good as anyone's wife.

You sure about that? The LSx goes to 512 cubes. Like i said you gotta have all your cubes to come close to the LS motors. Im not so sure you seeing the point were all making.

CUBE FOR CUBE LS MOTORS OWN ALL

a) the blue font is really making people angry around here

b) that's a nice bbc you have...but i guarantee you have some $$$$ in it. Hell, that oil pan alone was probably 500 bucks.

c) cousin has about 5 grand into his 81 malibu....502, 2 stage nitrous, forged, bla bla bla. Runs LOW 8 on juice, mid 10 n/a. For 5 grand, very few people here would be running 10's, and definately not n/a. HOWEVER, his car overheats nonstop, and gets about 3mpg.

I would guess some of the faster guys here are STILL getting 15mpg+, and drive their car atleast on a semi-regular basis. They don't have to readjust the carb everytime the weather changes, and don't have to worry about a bowl running dry if they floor it.

Each has its advantages, if I was making a pure drag car, I'd probably lean towards the BBC, but for a daily driver, ls motor is the way to go.

My opinion on this is that for a full Out drag car a BBC is the way to go. Even driving on the streets would be more fun then driving a built ls motor, just because of the sear torque. And for the people trying to run him off the site, get a grip its all chevy. There is nothing badder ass then a built BBC.

Oh I know, screw the Hemi. I mean the wedge motors, the 440. Then again I'm partial because I have one, but I'll put it this way It's my last Mopar for a while. Nothing against it except cost. I coulda built a pair of BBC's for what I've got in my 440, and it's fairly mild.

obviously youve never heard of an erl ls block i have an aquaintance with a 500ci ls in a zo6 here in dallas.
