one phrase "power to weight ratio" diesel you gotta add alot more power to make up for the 2000 pounds or more to run scsb. weight huge power killer why start off with a disadvantage?:newbie:
Idk if I can afford to go diesel : (
They are completely different creatures, I'm not sure how you guys can compare
I drive a eco hydrocarbon powered vehicle and love it.
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO thats all i said .IF you want to be fast this IS the most important. yeah with crazy power adder even the space shuttle can haul ass,SO whats the cost. Put a turbo on a bolder it might go fast but not very practal .Now put a 6.6 turbo in my 4300 pound truck aginst your 6000 pound truck and maybe you see....
true, but the difference in torque is so enormous it does help compensate for the major weight disadvantage to some degree.

true cost of a diesel...haha
damn! that's some serious damage, and one hell of a repair bill! from the 5 responses i read, it sounds like it ate some oil and ran away. but that's a 1200hp marine diesel, that thing is allot different then a light duty truck diesel. i cant see how it relates to the topic. those must be some extremely expensive engines, $25k for the crank, and a $10k cam?!!
yea pretty expensive. wonder what it would have cost to just put a new engine in
