Title weight is 3800lbs. The only time I have every weighed it, it was 4240 with a floor jack and other crap in the tool box, the tool box, with a rear bumper, a 50 series spare tire and me in it. That was with the v-6 though. The bumper is already off to put a roll pan on. The tool box and everything else will be gone too, but add the v-8. I really dont think there is a huge difference between the two. Hopefully not more than 100lbs going from an all iron v-6 to a aluminum head v-8, but I'm not sure. I would be damn happy if I could get it to 4000 race ready with me in it. I do still have to add Caltracs too.
I have big steel wheels also. Going with something like Welds will help me too.
As I install the engine, I will see what else I can shave off; spare tire hoist and anything else I can find.

Put some racing bucket seats in there. That should save you about 50 lbs.
