I tried that and it was way too loud and poppy for my taste. PLus I don't ever want to fail emissions and all of the sudden have to come up with a few hundred bucks to get cats welded back in so I can pass inspection. So the cats will stay, but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for some hi-flows.

There wasn't much room with the headers and stock Y-pipe, so the cats are welded in. But I'll likely look for hi-flows since my stockers are getting a little plugged.

Stock gears - 3.73's. And I agree - it would sound funny with cats gutted OR gone. So, keeping the cats, but may upgrade sooon...

Would rather do all bolt-ons. I know, NOS isn't 'cheating', but I'm just not interested in it right yet. Probably 'cause I haven't ridden in anything with it, but who knows...maybe down the road...

Trust me dude get nitrous the instant feel of 150 more hp is addicting.

Aftermarket cats arent that good. I had some and there wasnt any difference in performance as opposed to the sotckers. The TB will make a decent difference, the UD pulleys suck they make all of 8hp, why waste money on small stuff. For 500 you could have a nice nitrous system.

Do you have a locker or even a G80? To me, power doesn't mean anything if it won't hook.

Wide tires.

Limitied slip I believe. And you're right about not hooking. If I bury the pedal from a standstill, It will just spinn for the couple/few seconds. Not goot for E.T.'s. I was thinking CalTracs but not sure if they're for tire hop or actual traction.

And like I said, I'm due for tires, so I may begin asking a bunch of questions and doing research on the best for a daily driver.

I know that's not a water pump, but if it gives the same results, it would be worth it - I'm definitely not spending anywhere near $500 on a water pump.

Always worry about damaging something in the 4wd train...but I guess it would only kick in when they break loose and after that, it would stay in 2hi...?

I have done countless 4hi launches on 100-150 shot, with 418, with towing a 6K trailer needing to merge into traffic I sprayed the truck(not smart I know) and I got a 4wd hop going and stayed in it and nothing broke and I got over into the other lane. You wont hurt it, the t-case is the strongest thing in the srivetrain just dont do any 4lo launches. There are many people with over 600rwhp launching in 4hi. Dont worry about it.

Caltracs are for both wheel hop and traction. I think they are supposed to be pretty awesome.
