Where would I look to get a ecm and harness if I did buy this setup and about how much would it cost? I've been looking into LS1's and LT1's to go in my dad's '64 Chevelle we're restoring, but this might be a good route to go.
A stock harness won't be hard to find. Allen can build you a nice clean custom harness and supply you with a PCM tuned and ready to go, too. That's his business.

Check out my site and you'll see the ls1 harness, the truck harness is very similar, just a different intake.

I've got a 97 4L80E out of a 1 ton truck I'd part with for $900. I didn't get to see it run but it supposedly drove the truck onto a flatbed trailer without any issues. That's what core transmissions go for most anywhere that has a 4L80E available. Used ones with a 30 day gaurantee around here are $1500 at the bone yards.
Is this engine still available? Would be perfect for my Blazer.
New price $1700, I have two people coming to look at it next week.
