EFI live has a free demo version, you can tune anything with it but you could load the stock tune for your truck and tinker with it, even that alone will give you a critical insight into what your truck is thinking. There are all kinds of cool and obscure parameters that play a part in its behavior.
Well, I'm about to buy HP tuners. Any suggestions on where to get it?
Get it directly from HPT or from thetuningschool.com
Same price either way. I buy my credits from the tuning school. They give a 5% discount.
HPTs so easy, even a caveman could do it! LOL Allen is correct,if you know the basics just start out slow and understand what your doing.Send me your email and Ill send you some basic tuning guides Ive downloaded over the years
I'm in the same boat. Prob ordering HPT this week. Ill post a link later that I found. Its a real basic step by step guide to get you started
Typically when you buy HPtuners you get 8 credits with it. Vehicles like our trucks take 2 credits ea, 6 credits per model year, so on & so forth.

Read through all those FAQs before you buy so you know what you are getting into.
Good luck, you won't regret it unless you don't put the work into it....Tuning is lots of fun, but your results are going to be based on how much effort and time you put into learning the systems.
