I would go with a PCM problem honestly. If it was working before the key ON/battery disconnect problem, then the PCM is what is screwed up...

bad new part lol. I would see if you can find a diagram of everything that controls the gas gauge and look it all over.
yeah...well i have a buddy that does alot of work for dealerships and he said we should pull the bed and ohm out the sending unit, then we will know if it is the sending unit or a wiring problem
That's a good idea. Its only a few bolts and a couple grounds.
Pinched wire I still say.
Rhetorical question....maybe but did you replace the connector? Did you run a multimeter over anything. I've replaced more than I count and from the tank on over 90 percent is the connector, ground. Your dealership guy is right.
yes i replaced both connectors in the tank
