The LBZ (early 06-07 Classic) was the one matched up to the 6 speed Allison. The LBZ was the best Duramax of the NBS trucks. This is the one to get if possible, but the LLY is good as well.
The LMM is in the NNBS trucks, and is pretty much the same as the LLY, but it has the DPF choking it back.
Moze, diesels are great, don't get me wrong. They are for an intended purpose, and require good routine maintenance. They are also a little more expensive to run, but they make better power and have better mpgs than their gas counterparts.
Good point. The 6.0L will be more than enough for what you wanna do, as a typical DD. But you know what a tune and minor bolt ons can do to the performance and mpgs!Quote:
