5.7 L . Got article out and read it and it's a "mildly modified GM Performance Parts '98 LS1 crate motor kit (PN 25534322) as supplied by Westech Performance Group." They tested the stock manifold then the LS6, 6.0 truck, F.A.S.T. LSX, and the Weiand/Lingenfelter. They did say that they were going to repeat the process w/ different cam grinds and after that swap for freer-flowing heads all later on (man I'll have to keep looking for back issues I only spotted this while looking for something to read at the airport a few months back). Camshaft was "stock hydraulic roller; .500 lift, 200/203 dur. at .050, rockers 1.7:1, heads 2.00 inch intake,1.55 exhaust, 70mm throttle body,single-bore, 25 lb. injectors, feul pressure 61 psi, electronics GMPP crate engine controller, program modified w/ LS1 edit to raise rev. limit to 6500rpm (stock is 6000) , plugs: Denso IT-22, Exhaust : Hooker Super Comp F-Body long tubes and full factory exhaust, Compression ratio 10.25:1." Hope that Helps...ZedQuote:
