Update...
Thanks to DBRODS, the smurf will be getting a hopped up 9", probably with a Detroit Locker & 31 spline axles (Moser maybe?). Gears will be somewhere between 3.50 and 4.2x.

Maybe finish cleaning tomorrow. I dunno about paint...the rust matches the truck perfectly!

I should have taken before pics, the thing was a big ball of rust lol..

haha yeah I saw SC's when they first started taking it apart when i was up there last weekend. That thing was COVERED in crap when they popped the seal off

Just keep what you have, it's not like you're ever going to finish it or make enough power to break a stock rearend, lol.
