For any build there are two main questions. What exact performance do you want and how much are you willing to spend to get there. There are other questions. Will it continue to be a daily driver? Do you tow? Are you willing to spend a lot more on the rest of the drivetrain to handle the power? What percentage of the vehicle's intended use will be at the track, looking for better times?
If you wanna stay in the $2-3000 range, some good heads, good cam, long tube headers, custom exhaust, minor bolt-ons, and a custom tune is the way to go. When that gets boring, you could add N2O.
If you have a much larger budget and want some serious power, go all out with a turbo set up, etc.
Look on the SPID label in the glove box to find out if you have an LQ4 or 9. I'm pretty sure all the C3's were LQ4. Shortie headers won't help.
where can i find a set of good long tubes for this truck
Not sure yet. There are two more topics addressing such. Stainless Works and Dyna Tech both make them but be ready to sacrifice a prize winning show goat 'cause they're really high....
OBX makes some too....I guess they fit but at their much cheaper price I wonder about the quality....
yea i like the dyna techs but $$$ i found some dynomaxx blackjacks at jegs for about $330. but most pics i see dont have the passenger side A.I.R tube or egr or whatever it is
yea, the jegs website says the blackjacks will fit the c3 but who knows until u buy them and try it for yourself
