Talking my dad into getting those or MT MTZ's
They are suppose to be a great tire, long life, less road noise.
i looked at one which was a 36" and the lugs were pretty far apart which would only get further as you get bigger. so it should be pretty good for mud, my other choice was the mickey thompson baja claw radials but they wouldnt be nearly as good on road or wet pavement i dont think. they would certainly own in the mud though.

If I ran mud tires. I'd have nothin but BFGs. I can't stand to spend that much money for street bfgs cause tires burn up fast on my truck.
yeah they will have time on the street also, ill try to keep them off road as much as i can but there are too many roads :)
get the Super Swamper M-16s! They are sick and a new design! Perform well and get really good mileage out of them! and Im pretty sure they have em in 38s! I do like your choice of Baja Claws but make sure they are radials! :)
KM2's hands down they pull really good and don't beat your teeth out on the road llike the baja's do.
How long do the bfg muds usally last?
about 40k-ish..
I have an Idea! You should get Boggers and be a man! jk those tires are worthless on the road......except for picking up women sometimes....
I have the bfg m/t ko in 285/75 and so far put 35k on 'em with more than half treading left. They suck for mudding though. the mud gets packed in and stuck in the gaps.
Chris
True and for sand and dirt trails. You know like when you are trying to get to lakes and ponds.

That's what we run around here on hunting trucks pretty much can't beat it for a true offroad mud tire except for gumbo mudders.
Yup! they last a while if you dont haul ass like the rest of us :spit:
They proved well on my friend z71 with a 6" Pro Comp and 3" body. They dont do so well IMO in deep soft soiled mud though. They ride really good in the highway as well and the noise is decently quiet
if you can spin them fast enough to throw the mud out of the grooves they should be pretty good. as you go up in tire size the grooves become larger also.
with 38's they are pretty wide, the baja claws at 38" you could fit a brick between the treads.:ugh2:
on my 94 i ran MT MTZ's 33x12.5 and have them sipped, the guy only charged me $5 a tire to do them and said they will run cooler, last longer, adn less noise. never ran them without the sipping but they were pretty quiet to me on the hwy and stuff, goin to put some on my new truck in the spring
HAHA i was lookin at buyin swamper's for my old truck and the guy told me if i buy those tires to make sure my girlfriend wears a sportsbra everytime she rides in my truck..LOL
Buy my wheels and swampers in the for sale section for cheap! Make an offer if you want lol i need them gone badly
CEPEK FOR THE WIN!

Those are nice tires man!!! they look sick with those wheels!!
Im pretty sure they are cause I almost ordered some a while back. The A/Ts are just flat looking and look like road tires.
yup, mud country tires. best mud tire I have run so far.
-pulls good in mud
-good cleanout
-balanced very nicely
-runs smooth on highway
-siped for wet asphalt traction
only gripe= loud as balls at highway speed
how much did your wheel and tire setup cost?
400 in wheels
600 in tires
plus prolly 50 in mount and balance
holy crap thats actually pretty cheap
I have a buddy who is a dealer
I had a set of 33x13.50 MT MTZ's on my truck, they howled pretty loud but they pulled good and it rode ever-so-rough. But now i have a set of 35x13.50 Pro-Comp X-Terrain's. These are way better than the MT's as far as mud crawling ability, and they are surprisingly pretty quiet. http://www.procomptires.com/images/t...dial-trans.png
Tread almost like a Claw, which was my first choice. But i'm glad i got these. I wish i woulda took pictures of the swamp i went through the other night drunk with some friends, 2nd gear, 4-LO, and it sounded like it was hailing on a tin roof because they are wide and is was just slingin all over the place.
Thats always the best, wide open, mud fliggn, half naked chicks and beer. Then you gotta wash it. DAMN IT!! Or hope for a couple of rainy days.
i had to get on a creeper the next day with a hangover and pull all the grass that was hangin from every place you could possibly think of off.. it sucked. and then i lost a wheel bearing, i guess it got mud in it. and it's still not completely clean yet and ive washed it 3 or 4 times.
I've done that on a cold night and i didn't feel like freezing to death. Lol. I've honestly been thinkin about droppin mine Aggie, i wanna see a thread on yours, with the whole process. i want 24's!
