Gonna show us how to rebuild the 80e? I just did the GM training program on the 4L80e, diagnosing procedures and the whole shebang. Nothing about how to build them though, got the ATSM manual for that.
I will update pics next week.. Not sure if it will step by step RedHeartBeat ... This thing had alot more wrong then I was expecting... I have to order some Fix it parts on Monday .. Plan to check on a Dual Element sprag .. I will keep you up to date on what it takes to Fix mine... Also Your Trans has a Bad Sprag thats why 2nd Gear is going away

I Now have my truck inside on the Rack.. moved a few things around.. going to try and install the Long block.. Bolt up most everything on the front... I am going to Modify a Truck waterpump to match the Corvette water pump that I have been running.. I Have a new Alky Control Kit still in the Box... Tons of AN fittings and Lines.. more Pumps.. Removed the OE tank tonight and Cleaning out the Old stuff making room..I will try and get more pics tomarrow.. I am not really sure how long this is going to take... My head was smoking after I was looking at everything .........

What was wrong with the trans? It never acted up for me, hell you even road in my truck with it right before I pulled it.
The rear half of the Trans.. Planet,Bushing output shaft and Rear case washer was all Burnt up... The good thing was the Rear case bushing was a wipe out BUT didnt spin out in the case.. Yes I know I rode in the truck and it shifted fine but It also bunt 1.2.3 clutches 3rd was toast.. I have been looking threw the shift kit that was installed to see if there was a problem but So far the only big thing I have seen is the Boost valve spring on the backside of the pump was not changed with the one in the HD2 kit... I am not that worried about the trans since I didnt have to Buy another Core..:woot:
How does the trans work fine but have all those clutches burnt up and all those problems? The trans never got hot, and line pressure was checked with a mechanical gauge after the shift kit and tune.
I dont remeber Posting that the transmission was bought or had anything to do with Anyone on this Board.. but thanksts for your Input I will post pics :thumb:
HEY RedHeartBeat? Do you have the pump out of that Virgin 4l80 yet?? Why dont you flip it around and tell me what Color that Spring is on the back of the Pump...
Right now the trans is still in the truck, waiting for me to put together a game plan on how to handle replacing whatever is loose. Gonna see if I can find a complete 99+ model that has the wider band stock in it.
I suck a taking pics when I am working Alone !.. but i took a few... I had to pull the pan to change it .... I didnt want a Painted pan.. and something with Turbo Drainbacks... wow, just saw the pictures, that thing is messed up! Good thing you have access to a transmission shop. You'll get it going better than ever. :thumb:

Enough motor and camshaft I hope it isnt going to take tons of boost to make it run... I never am going to try a 3000 10.5" My cam needs a little bigger.. I want it to run on Low boost 10psi or so..

My compression is 9:1ish.. I wanted a little lower .. Just because I have meth didnt mean I want to use it all the time...
