I'm in the planning stage of my next project to begin real soon.
The project is a mid-seventies Chevy pickup. It will be a daily driver and tow vehicle for my boat. I do not plan on any racing so I don't need high performance. The truck will have a 5-spd manual transmission.
My question is - Is there any reason to shy away from the LC9 (5.3L Flexfuel motor). I do not intend to change the rest of the truck to flexfuel or to use E85 fuel.
What's your opinion? Be nice!
No reason. Motor is the exact same. If it's a Gen 3 it has higher flowing fuel rails and bigger injectors. If it's Gen 4, it's identical to its non-FF counterpart.
Flex fuel just means its capable of running e85. If your swapping it in it wont matter.

Funny thing about that being a member since 06... my wife said I needed to do a complete house remodel before I could go out and play! It has taken that long to get out of the house. Can't image how long it will take to finish these trucks! :laugh:

Take the home remodel and times it by 5, then add 2, and subtract by 3.........lol
