( i wonder if my trans is ok) FUK trq management! :nutz: W00t, I am geting a rearend off a 05 for $900 Can anybody finde me a beter deal? , the Diff cover is full of holes!! and dragged it about 15 miles home! Made fucked up sounds :eek: as it got dragged( i mean fucking horrible< we had to stop and throw it in reverse evry 4 miles or so, it kept locking up!), I figured its beyond a new ring and pinion, Will A 05 rear end drop into a 2000 with no problems???? :cry: I hate walking!!!!BTW, is your dyno Up man ? I really want to know what this old girls is makin if the diff can go boom like that :drool: O yeah happy 4th man, Blow up a ford engine or 2 today :laugh: :rock:

Mine is actually hanging in there, I'm just going to beef it up with some better axels.
Not sure on the 05, but it will have drum brakes if I remember right, yours has disc. I'm not sure if the mechanisms and brake lines are the same, probably not.

i would just go to a junkyard find a rear end from a 99-04 from a silverado tahoe or suberban(sp?). try and find one with a gt4 and g80 codes(in glove box). that will be a factory 373 with a posi, and you wont have to jack with the brakes.
