I was thinking about getting a set for my truck but was wondering if they would make that much difference over 1 3/4. I'm running a h/c ls1. Cam will be around 226 duration. Heads will be a set of ported 5.3 heads. Thanks for any help.

Yes. Kooks makes an awesome set. I dknt know who else makes them, I'm buying a set next week and could probably get a better deal by purchasing two at once ;)
How much are the kooks, I know calspeed is coming out with a stainless set with ypipe pretty cheap in a couple monthsQuote:

They aren't a direct fit though, right?
Pretty sure that there are a few people running them though. It would be the same for the Kooks though...they currently dont make a "direct fit" for the trucks. But there are a small handful of people running them and say they fit better than the "truck specific" headers they had in the past.
Kooks deffinately makes a truck header that is a direct fit for a silverado.Quote:
