First step would be to identify the code.
It's a crankshaft to camshaft correlation error.
Check your distributor, those caps are notorious for cracking and allowing water in. Your cam sensor is run off the distributor rotor, and once it gets a little damp it causes all kinds of problems. That's where I would start looking at least, easy to get to and check.
i read up on it gonna start with a new cap & rotor. then try to get a scanner on it to check the timing. can a loose worn timing chain cause this DTC?
yes a wore out timing chain can cause it.pull your cap off and turn the motor over by hand to check your slack.ever time i've ever seen that code,the motor was out of time

At 200k, that chain is probably due for replacement anyway.
distruber gear are common wear item, eventally will strip out. Pull dist cap ck backlash on rotor if it has a lot than gear is wore out and needs replacement. If it feels good than get scan tool on it and set timing, clear code and problem should be solved.

I replaced the gear on my 4.3 after about a billion and a half revolutions to prevent the tow bill. Looks pretty good (still have it) but obviously very worn after well over 200,000 miles.
Yep seen a few, but now work for the state, to much up and down pay and benefits next to nothing. Pays not great but steady and benefits far better, until state goes broke and we all get canned, hope it doesn't go that far.
