I've been looking around for a good 800 to 4000+ rpm cam... found some but havent been able to find any kits. I want a cam kit with like the valve springs, maybe lifters... If anyone knows a good site i can get one from please let me know.

look into thunder racing they sell kits for around 700
as for your power band, LS motors dont start coming alive till higher rpms. Hell how many other motors do you know peak torque at 4200 stock? old SBC peaked torque much lower
and if you have a 4.8 youll need a higher rpm range just to keep up with larger cubes
We have some kits, they start at $710 for the single springs, pushrod, cam, or $745 for the lunati dual spring kit, pushrods, cam.
all aftermarket cams are going to pull to 6000rpms, even the stock ones pull up to 5700rpms or so.
probably the best cam we've used for lowend torque is the 208/212, which will still pull to 6200rpms.
Little more aggressive would be 212/218.
Neither will need an aftermarket converter for a daily driver.
Thank you nelson, im guessing if i get a cam from you it would be easier for you to tune as well.... Im going to try that 100 extra hp to the wheels post you did... all i need is the cam and LT's.... do you think i will be pushing a little more if i have more done then the test truck?
Ya, every mod does help with power in some way, so if you have a little more than the test truck did, I don't see why your truck wouldn't lay down more.
with the engine and dyno being the variables, it's hard to estimate.
but we see about 220-240hp from a stock 4.8L
