NOBODY WITH A NBS OR NNBS TRUCK BUY THIS REAR END!!!! IT IS TO NARROW!!!!!
ask me how i know fml....
btw if anyone on here with a obs truck needs one, i have one for sale!
Haha well my bad then...sorry guys!!!! BTW you guys suck, I've been skimmin through and there is a ton of 6.0 and 5.7 LS motors for pretty good prices...the only 2 I have near me are 700 & 1200 and the cheaper one has 216K on it...so FML also!
how hard would it be to mod one of these to work in an fbody?
you would have to cut all the brackets off of it and weld F-body brackets on, and that would only work if this rear end was the right width, if it was a little narrow it would be ok cus you could run a bigger off set wheel (and have a nice lip) but for the nbs trucks they are like 6in to narrow or something like that
They make spacer plates for these to make them work. It's basically a 2.5-3" chunk of aluminum that extends everything. Few guys on here in 4x4 section have done it, could probably find info pretty easy on gmfs. I know you can keep factory disc, or use drum off 14 bolts. You have to re-weld the spring perches OR put a wider plate on the axle, I've seen both ways. Re-welding is 'better' but the plate is much easier.
