Wiring harness install
Hello, I just recently recieved my converted Nelson wiring harness, I have a few questions. The truck is a 95 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd, and I am using my original 95 4L60E, the harness I sent them is the one that came off of my 03 6.0, my motor was out of a 03 2500HD with a 4L80E. So I had them convert my harness to run a 4L60E, and also remove the rear O2's, evap, etc., first question is the VSS sensor plug is different, can I solder on my original 95's pigtail to the new harness, and have it work, also I guess there is not supposed to be anything hooked to the module on the side of the shift arm because that wiring has been removed. Second question for some reason they left all of the air compressor wiring in my harness, I thought it was supposed to be removed, because I would be using my 95 ac wiring, am I right or not?. Third question there is a large white connector about 12 inches from the main 2 computer plugs, I have no idea what this is for, or if it's needed. It doesn't match up to anything, I already have the complete motor hooked up. Thanks for any input, and I'll probably have more question's. Thanks

I'd give Nelson a call, with all your ?'s. With regards to the A/C wires, just don't use them.

I have been trying for a few day's, I guess they must be really busy.

Just a guess but maybe the white wire is for a tachometer. A/c stuff just don't use. I have a stock harness and just left all that stuff unplugged tucked away, no problems at all.

I did find out that the white connector is called C 152.

yes, just swap yours over, pretty simple. it's just 2 wires.
also I guess there is not supposed to be anything hooked to the module on the side of the shift arm because that wiring has been removed.
take the nutt off and remove it, then put your shifter linkage back on it.

why remove it if you are going to be running A/C? you should have the High pressure/Low pressure/Clutch wiring. that's the only ones i kept other than the one that plugs into the dryer by the fire wall.
Third question there is a large white connector about 12 inches from the main 2 computer plugs, I have no idea what this is for, or if it's needed.
the only white wire i had was for the Tach if i remember correctly, if not then i can go look.
anymore questions?

keniff, as far as your a/c wiring goes, are you using "just" the F-Body hi-pressure line sender/sensor, to control the a/c? Or both the original accumalator low-pressure switch "and" the F-body sender, combined? Or...just the accumalator switch alone? Thanks

your running your stock A/C right? just keep the wiring for it. the Fbody set up should be the same as my Truck set up.
if you need anything lemme know ill try an answer anything i can

If you want your IP cluster to show what gear you are selecting you need to wire the switch on the shift linkage back to it. On a 95 this is what tells it what to show. There is no mechanical pull like on the 94 and earlier.
Also I would think your Nelson harness should have a neutral safety switch wire for you to hook up. It needs to go to this as well.
