I have a 2000 short box step-side 4x4 Chevy with the 4.3L v6 and an auto tranny, and was wondering if anyone makes a handheld tuner for this motor, and if nelson performance has a tune that would be worth getting for this truck? Right now the truck feels like it's holding back until you get it past the 3000 rps mark. Any help is greatly appreciated

NP can tune it, don't even look at a handheld, waste of money. I guess you are yet to find the V8 swap thread yet huh?
Yes, Nelson can do it... they tuned my 97 with a 4.3/4L60E and it definitely livened it up... well worth the money IMO, if you don't plan on doing a swap anytime soon.Quote:

Understandable, if you do get a tune and decide you want to do a swap down the road, it won't cost you anything to get a retune for the new motor I don't think... unless you go crazy...Quote:

On another note 96-97 ccomputers work and then 98-00 black boxes work for V6 & V8 I'm pretty sure.
