Y not just get a shift kit?
How much is the boost alve. I paid like 30 bucks for my B&M shift improver kit. Works great.
a transgo HD2 shift kit is better for around $100-120
It may be better but my B&M gets the job done. No complaints here.
The boost valve manually controls the shifting pressures within the tranny. Although you can just replace the stock one with the .490 valve, it would be recommended that you do a shift kit to go along with it.
The installation can be done by just dropping the pan and you can manually adjust your pressures with this by the turn of a screwdriver. Some builders always turn the pressures up a tad upon a performance rebuild, so its always good to know for sure how much it is turned up so that it correlates with the tune.
I wouldn't pull the pan just for a boost valve, save for a shiftkit and do it all one time.
I would definitely install the vette servo.
Ebay auction. $52 right now with 3 days left.
