Yes Zach, you can completely remove them. Tape up the connectors well and zip-tie them to the frame.
x2 on removing them and them just plug the o2 bungs
damm!! alrite i should have removed them a long time ago,there probly no good by now.thanks...
Leaving them on there can mess with stuff. By leaving them on there (and even with them turned off) can mess with the grounding of the circuit. When you screw them into the exhaust bungs, you complete the ground circuit. If for any reason they touch the frame, it may throw things off a bit....since the electrical system on our trucks is ground-based.
I am not saying it WILL happen, but I have seen it happen 2 times on two different trucks with the rear O2s turned off in the tune.
well thing is bro i threw a 02 code and it was the passenger upper 02,,and all my 02s are the same i couldve just swapped 02s but its probly burnt,instead of buying a 140.00 new one.in other words i wouldve had 2 good spare 02s if i had removed them...
now knowing the info stated above,,they r really coming off,,,anyone know the plug thread size?
