ok i put her in{by myself} --houston we have a problem. my converter bolts do not line up. as a matter of fact they are around a 3/8 inch off. here is a pic of the flywheel and verter. also they are only using three of the six holes. did i miss something? does anyone have the part number for the flywheel for the flexplate from when they did there swap. if so i need it real bad.

Did you get it figured out yet?

The bolt pattern for the LS1 torque converter is different than a standard bolt pattern. I could not use the flex plate from a 2002 V8 van that had a 4L60E. I guess they use the stardard turbo 400/350 bolt pattern along with the 4L80E. The flex plate will not clear the back of the block without a spacer unless they make a flywheel specifically for a LS1 type engine to 4L80E.

there are two different types of flexplates for the 6.0's. the flexplate for a 60e is recessed in the middle not allowing an 80e verter to seat in the middle. i got it fixed already.

Cool deal, now waiting for the driveshaft I guess?

Sorry if this is a repeat question but what driveshaft did you go with? I'm thinking about getting a new one and was wondering what is the best one to go with?

When i swapped the 80E in my truck, i had to get a different U-joint and yoke, but i didnt have to shorten the driveshaft at all......
