yeah, the 1-2 is getting really annoying, I pretty much can't use the tow/haul because it just jerks the shit out of the truck on the shift at the higher rpms and a heavy trailer behind it.....this shift kit has brought out so much banging and clanging in my driveline that i'm considering taking it out, the only part I was considering leaving in was the boost valve if it helps get oil to the bands and such better

Well, why not just get you a new seperator plate?
Enlarge all the holes BUT the 1-2 clutch feed and make the 2-3 a bit larger only. Sounds like that'd be right for your needs. It'll tone down that 1-2 shift a ton...
With the TG setup you really don't need to use the Tow/Haul mode either. It really only bumps line pressure and raises shift points. You can always manually shift the truck yourself...
Well I didn't use the tow/haul very long!!!! It was a little too much. Thanks for the help and suggestions, i'll try that separator plate trick out.
Those new plates are cheap... maybe $12 or something like that and of an improved design over the OE part.Quote:

Remeber performance frictions and band will shift a lot firmer than stock too...
If it's STILL too bad, put in a softer 1-2 accumulator spring too.
I think if you have tuning done, you can lower the line pressure for normal shifts and it will still be high for WOT. You can also add some torque management under normal driving to soften the shifts.
