ls7 crank?
can this be used as a stroker crank for any lsx build? I might have found a deal on an ls7 crank that need to be re surfaced. I know it will hold the power I'm looking to make out of my next build. I'm planning an aluminum 383 from an ls1 block.
as far as I know its the same, but I know there are some non interchangable parts between the gen 3 and 4 engines so I figured I would check.
Thanks guys

Reluctor wheel on the crank might need to be changed if memory serves. Dont trust me though.

the block will need clearencing like any 4in crank in a ls1 block some 6.0's u can get away with out it (like mine) but its nothing a Drimmel cant fix :D

thanks guys! the reluctor wheel is something that can be swapped right?
-
yes, at least ive heard of people switching them idk if u have to heat it up to get it off or what

i think the snout of the crank is different, has something to do with the dry sump oil pump. So I don't think they are swapable without alot of machine work. The reluctor wheel is easy to swap if you have the alignment tool. It has to be positioned a certain way or bad things will happen..
