As far as the GEN3 A/C compressors go--Which one is the most user friendly as far as port location goes? I know it will be a side port, but is there one that is the best for port configuration/placement for a 88-98 GM truck?

Forget about using the gen3 compressor w/ an 88-98 frame, its a pain in the a$$. Even after I notched my frame i still ran into problems with being able to connect the hoses and pulling the compressor is a nightmare. Mine took me about an hour to remove. A few people have done it, I thought it would be a good way to save a few bucks but its worth it to buy the up high brackets and get a sanden compressor.
I'm thinking about going with these brackets.

Thanks Low 91,
I think I might try to mount the stock 98 compressor where the Gen3 truck alternator was originally and mount the Alt on the passenger top . That way I could use the stock A/C lines and not need to notch the frame.
