I was looking through ebay and found this bit of info from a seller.
"We do not suggest this for a full-size truck application : Mechanical fans almost always extract more CFM of air than any electrical motor. Since a truck is typically twice the weight of a car and sometimes towing or hauling, they generate twice as much heat through the radiator, and the electric motors cannot produce sufficient CFM. Also, the dimensions of these fans don't cover sufficient area on a full-size truck radiator since a truck's radiator is normally 25% larger than a high-performance car. "
So is he right or just covering his salesman ass.
He makes sense, but only if the fans don't move as much air as mechanical fans.

Haven't had a problem w/ mine yet . Hell mine even turn off going down the highway. Haven't towed w/ em yet but I know of someone that has towed his camper trailer w/ them on a EC truck and hadn't had a problem in two years so he claims...Zed

I live in Texas... I have them fans on both my trucks. I've yet to see temps past 192° with the A/C on.
They move a ton of air!

:help: Can some tell me how to wire in the LS1 fans so the are controlled by the ECM for my 04 Silverado? I looked at the Flex-a-Lite set and they use a cheap sensor stuck in the radiator.
Or has anyone put the fan system from the 05's on yet?
