Between 400-450hp, depending on how abusive you are to it.

was he AWD or RWD? and if AWD, which drive shaft did he break?
Rear shaft I think. The trans and axle can hold a lot (provided the differential itself stays together). The transfer case is OK and the front axle should have no issues to 500 IMO. The shafts are the fuses.

The majority of rear drivelines that fail, are due to exceeding their safe critical speed. It's more to do with speed than hp/tq, for most broken rear drivelines.
