I have been planning on a 5.3 or 6.0 but I got an offer on a 502 today for $750. Would it be worth it on a rcsb 5 speed? I don't know much about the 502. Is it a gen III also or is it something different?

8.1 < 6.0 by FAR!!
yes and what exact motor are u talking about??? the 8.1 big block out of the 00-07 3/4 ton 1 ton is a 8.1l or a 496 not a 502, also THIS SWAP IS A PAIN!!!!! ive done one or tried i guess u could say me and the kid that i was helping split ways before it was finished, and still does not run. but for the money that it would cost to do a 8.1 u should just build a lq4 408 stroker, also what do u have 4.3 or 4.8 if 4.8 they arnt that bad i dont see a huge advantage over a 5.3 but they both can go up to a 383 stroker
gas or no gas, i got a 8.1 its fun but not the nest on gas
how can you build a 383 stroker out of a 5.3L? what do you need to do?
8100 and 502 are barely distantly related but would bolt in the same.
383 5.3 is board out to 3.905 and 4" crank
well yea, it will be a lot of work tho.
I guess doing that (383 stroker) will be better than swaping to a 6.0L... right? Will my cam work fine on that engine?
