If it's an R 350 (stock type) timing is not adjustable by turning the HVS like an old distributor. Timing can only be changed in the 'puter. Twisting the HVS will only throw off the CMPS and the offset.

man i am just trying to figure out why in the hell my truck is detonating, no matter where i get my fuel from. i have even ran a quart of water threw the TB to clean the carbon up and i still am having this issue!!!:ummm:
Me thinks you need a pro to actually look at your truck. If you are close enough to Nelson Performance or Gas Guzzler or RedHeartbeat you might try to get them to look at it.Quote:
