Krylon Fusion in a rattle can...at about any hardware store...works great.
do i need to prime first
use Bulldog adhesion promoter on the bare cleaned plastic.
I wouldn't paint over texture. It look 1000x better if you remove the texture. To do so you do this
-red scothbrite the plastic
-Spray Bulldog adhession promotor on it
-4-5 coats of high build primer
-let dry 2-3 hours
-sand the primer with 320-400 grit or until al texture is gone
-preclean
-tack off
-seal it
-base it
-clear it
And your done. Perfect product.
where do you get factory matching paint in the spray can?
I can ship you factory paint in a singlestage. But you would need a gun to spray it.
Daniels way is obviously the best...
My way works if you're lazy and don't want to spend that much time and you only want to spend a couple of bucks. :D
I painted the lower valance black (was gray) months ago and it's held up really really good. Didn't really do anything to prep it, other than wipe it down to get any dirt or grime off.
Just depends what route you want to go and how much time you want to spend.
take it to a paint shop if you have no experinece, deffenently if you want it to be smooth, it takes a lot of water sanding with fine grit, prime, and plasti coat so paint will stick
