Started this little gem of a job on Saturday. This is where 4.5 hours of work got me. Haven't even gotten the HVAC module removed yet so I can access the heater and evap cores :flame:

How does an evaporator go bad? And how do you know it is bad until you remove it?

Oh, and you heater haters....I'm doing this job because of the evaporator core....which is the a/c.....which is EXTREMELY important here in AZ during the summer, lol. I did replace the heater core just because I was already in there and mine has 156,000 miles on it, but the primary reason was the evap core. I think I stressed something when I was moving the lines around trying to clear the old turbo kit downpipe.
Anyway, I got the HVAC module out and both cores replaced and started reassembling everything. One more night's work and I should have it all back together.
You are one brave man. I would say eff it and roll the windows down... :haw:
