4L60e to TH350 swap
My trans is dead and and im Going through hard times ,I have very little $$, i do however enough to buy someone's second hand 3000 rpm stall converter For a TH350 with a modified snout for LSx engines, I have a TH350 Longtail laying around. so im going to throw it in there temporarily, Going to set the Gear selector switch to neutral, butcher up a crossmember a bit, tack in the th350 trans mount, unbolt the carrier bearing and slide it as far forward as it can go,(i think the 4L60 is marginally longer than the long-tail TH350) bolt it back and use my GPS for a speedo and hope for the best. Anybody see a flaw with this plan?, truck was tuned for a "built" 4L60e With a Vacum Servo, and 3,000 rpm Yank Stall. Will the PCM go crazy on me, or can i just wing it for a few weeks until I sell My Wrecker ? I just need to get around!

Did you ask DamnYankee what he wants for his trans? You're building your transmission multiple times doing it the way you are doing it. Finance, borrow or beg but get the thing done right once and you'll save so much money in the long run. Most transmission shops can refresh your 60e for around $750 carryout.
