350 TBI/700R4
I would really like to drop an LS1 into the truck, and have just recently started researching what will need to be done, but I would like to hear some real-world figures from someone who as actually done it.

Cost of engine
New wiring harness $650
Tuned PCM $250
High right side A/C conversion approx $750
Electric fans $200
Fan relays $65
Engine mounts $50
Misc coolant hoses $100
Electronic fuel pump $100
Corvette internally regulated fuel filter and misc fittings $100
Fuel hoses $40
Adapters for PS hoses $20
Air cleaner and tubes to build an intake $200
I know I've missed some things but that's what I can think of.
Well, starting off I could live without A/C. And I do have a hookup at the parts store, so that would reduce the cost of the little stuff(hoses, filters, etc...). I assume that the harness could be custom made to work with a 700R4, along with the PCM? Unless of course I can find a good deal on Motor/Tranny together! I suppose it could go either way, but would an external in-line pump be better than an in-tank pump? What about headers? Don't think I've seen application specific-headers for this conversion, but it seems that headers listed for a later model would work. And would I have to buy O2 sensors?
Sorry to go on and on, just trying to get a game plan together!!

Knocking on $7000... and still haven't completed the connections for the use of stock AC. Note: the only way you'll use the stock AC is if you move the engine forward approximately 4 inches. Whether or not there are any pros/cons for this, you'll have to determine. See my thread for progress info.
