Hey guys I could use yall's input. My nepheew came across a clean 3.4L 95 camaro for $450 and bought it. The only problem with it is when it's cold it runs really rough or won't hardly run at all(seems to be missing & running really rich). When it warms up it runs great. The former owner has gone crazy trying to fix it without success. They have replaced everything they could think of from the ECM to the Catalytic converter. I am trying to get an exact list of everything they have checked or replaced & will post up when I get it but in the mean time I am open to any & all suggestions that you can throw at me. Thanks in advance!

Only way to take care of that one is drop in an LS1!

Did they replace the IAC valve or maybe the fuel pressure regulator? I would think with the pressure regulator it would run rough all the time, but ya never know. Did they replace the plugs? How does it run at WOT?

I'd replace all the vacuum hoses, O2 sensors with new GM parts, clean the throttle body and replace the EGR and hose going to it. Be sure you check the fuel pressure and verify it is consistant from startup to operating temperature after seeing what pressure it's supposed to be operating at, probably about 42lbs.

OK I don't think they replaced the IAC valve & I'm not sure about the regulator, but after it warms up it runs as well as one could expect at WOT for a 3.4L. I was wondering about the EGR & the O2's, I don't understand the O2's they just have one wire connecting them & I unhooked them after it was running good & it didn't change anything. I also unhooked the MAP sensor while it was running & it died but started right back up with it disconnected & ran fine. I guess these engines don't use a MAF cuz it doesn't have one.

I know the people who sold it need their asses whooped! I can't believe they sold it that cheap. You can sell the doors off the sombitch for $450! You oughtta see how clean this car is, it's unbelievable. 16" alum. wheels, power windows & locks, tilt, cruise, white clean paint, straight body. The only thing cosmetically wrong is thedash is cracked & the headliner is sagging. I'll take some pics later.

He could have honestly done an LS1 conversion for the price it should have gone for. lol ur right tho, he could have sold the doors for that much, then sell the seats and youve made yourself a profit.
