    2007+ GMT-900 questions

So I'm looking into getting an 07+ sierra/silverado and was wondering if all silverados/sierra's including the work truck trim level, received the active fuel management or if it was the ls trim level and up that got it. I'm going to take a look at a couple sierra's in the work truck trim tomorrow afternoon and would like to know. Thanks!

Depends on year and displacement. 5.3s pretty much get it in everything. 4.8s don't. Some 6.0s and 6.2s do, depending on year.

so did the work truck 5.3s get the active fuel management? i ask work truck because that's a lot of what i am looking at right now. and its a shame that the 4.8s didn't get the AFM. also, did the "classic" sliverado's/sierra's get the AFM as well, or was that skipped over because its the "classic" style of truck?

Only the GMT-900s got it. Like I said, no 4.8s, all 5.3s. The package doesn't matter.

Do you want it? Or are you trying to avoid it? Cuz I'm gonna tell you right now that system is absolute trash.

From personal experience, stay away from 2007 NNBS trucks. Mine is crap. I've been fighting issues from the day I bought it sight unseen, other that photos. I have electrical issues in every system in the truck. I am about ready to strip all the under hood harness out and put a newer harness in there to see if it fixes it. It had over 36k on it when I bought it so they don't want to touch it. It's a lemon that I been squeezing every bit of juice out of. I've changed all the stuff under the hood so no warranty. Go 2008+ because even HPTUNERS does not fully support 2007 stuff, apparently it is the bastard child of GM trucks. Do I sound angry? Hell yeah I'm angry at GM for my truck and it's issues. I am upset at HPTUNERS too for their lack of support of my 2007 PCM which caused my 408 to die an early death due to the fact that they did not support the operating system in my 2007 GMT 900 by October 2009.
