    Having problems starting and idleing

1989 silverado 400 small block, Edlebrock performer intake with a Holley fuel injection throttle body, factory heads. Some kinda of junk chip....
It's my dads truck. He can't start it, have turn pump the pedal about 40-50times before it will start. and hold it down 3/4 for about ten minutes before it will idle on its own. Anything else I should check beside the fuel pump?

I feel this holley tb is a piece of junk. That's my opinion.
That's why I asked...I didnt think the edelbrock intake was a piece of junk lol.
I was also wondering...I don't know much about the motor, i think it'd be better off with just a '88-94 tb. And would it need to be programmed or something since it is a 400 small block?

So put a carb on it or Edelbrock's new self programming EFI carb looking throttle body.
