    Cam for LQ4 6.0

So in a few months I would like to get a cam for my 6.0 i just put in. I must say the new power of the 6.0 is awesome, but I know I will get used to it in a few days. Plus the performance bug has hit.

    What would ya'll guys recommend?

    My truck is a 99' with a 2001 LQ4. Tuned by Dale.

This truck is my DD, so i dont want anything over the top...whatever that is.

I would like it to benefit throughout the whole powerand, but low and mid range would come first, since that is where i keep the tach at most. I also want to keep the stock stall since I tow my 3000 pound boat frequently...

Would I be able to get a cam that will pull harder and keep my current fuel efficiency or increase it?

I am not in any rush, but figured i would start looking around.

I should probably put some money down on my trans first...different thread.

Does that TR220 come in a 114? Might be better 'cause you could run it with a 2600 instead of a 3000 or so converter which would help with towing. Then again, a 224 or even a 228 on a 114 would be sweet since you have the cubes.

My first cam was a 216/220 525/535/114 it made very good power and pulled great down low.In a 6.0 it would be a good addition to the tune

The truck is running great Dale. I pulled my boat for the first time today and loved it. Went up some steep hills around Jacksboro without a problem. Very happy. It is running a little rough at idle, but that is probably because I accidently put about 12 gallons of 87 in it. I need to break that habit.

Are you able to tune the trans to where it will manualy downshift when I put it in a lower gear? This only applies for the 2-1 downshift.

Best performance gain for the $$$ by far!

If I can sell my ol' 5.3 I will have this cam a lot sooner. anyone want a 5.3?

Another question. Will I need new pushrods and spring with any of the cams mentioned above?
