    Noob!

    Hello,
I just picked up a 2004 Silverado 1500, 2wd, 5.3, 46,000 miles. I'm pretty happy as this is my first truck! My first tank I managed to get 17 MPG of which 1/3 of the it was towing a car dolly. I'm curious to see if I can get over 20 MPG.

Oh yeah. I got 21 with 4.10 gears and a cam. I am sure with a lower (number wise) gear like a 3.73 or 3.42 and a couple mods to help flow you will easily see over 21

welcome, a tune alone ought to get you around 20 or higher. I got around 20 in mine with the 20's on and an extra engine in the back. I was going 70-100 the whole way home.
