    Talking Nwb

    Hello all...............My name is Drew and I am from good ol' Gainesville, FL! (GO GATORS) I have been a avid motorsports enthusiast for about 6 years now and my love of automobiles continues to grow.

    A shared fleet with my dad currently includes

    1. 1967 SS Camaro (DAD)
    355, 456 gears, 700r4 swap
    2. 1995 Honda Civic Hatch
    Forgerd b16, t3/t4 (15lbs)
    3. 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
    Completely gutted, 18lbs, 12.4@110, stock everything cept fuel pump
    4. 2001 S10 LS
    4.3, 700r4, bone stock 'cept intake

    My new goal is a semi-built LS1 with a built 700r4 in my s10.........hence the reason i am here. I

    Welcome and your S10 doesnt have a 700r4 if it is bone stock. Its a 4l60e
    2000 Silverado ECSB- 5.3 CAI, Pacesetter LTs, ORY- Pipe, Magnaflow XL, E-fan, Ported T/B , Nelson Tuned, Built 4l60e, Circle D Stall, 3.42s G80, 2-4 Drop, Hertz Highs, Rockford 501s

    Hmmmm.............................

    Learn something new everyday. My dad has a 95 silverado 4.3 auto. Is it a 700r4 or the 4l60? I appologize for my ignorance.

    It should have a 4l60. I believe they started putting them in, in 94. Maybe someone can confirm

    4l60 came out with 4.8-5.3 in 1999

    Welcome. The 4L60 came out a long time before 99.

    true, I thought they started using it in 95, in the full-size trucks anyway.
