need some help here!
just getting knee deep in my lm7 swap into my 1996 2dr tahoe 4wd and even with all the reading and research there are still a few things i need clearing up...please help! ive read the obs to lsx thread about 30 times. but it gets confusing because the info jumps between the pre 96 trucks and the 96+ truck so im just a little confised on the specifics to my truck.
1) lm7 is from a 2005 avalance with a 4l60e. do i still need a new flywheel and spacers if i have the original flywheel on the engine and bolting it up to a 1996 4l60e? (seems like a dumb question but im not quite sure)
2) i understand that my stock fuel pump will provide enough psi to my new enigine. however what is the need for the quick connects and fuel filters and stuff? cant i just cut the stock lines and connect them to the lines on the new engine?
3)i dont have the MAF sensor from the lm7. can i use the one from the old vortec air tube?
part numbers if possible. again my truck is a 96 2 door tahoe so i have the newer vortec engine NOT tbi. alot of the advice i been getting people have been confused. i have dual fuel lines and a 4l60e trans. please help
