hey all I have purchased my engine for my swap it has a "T" in the 8th spot for engine id. I have decoded it to be a 2001.
I was told it was a 2001 5.3 it is out of a 4x4 also so just wanted to verify it is truly the 5.3 not 4.8.
    Thanks
    Dave

If you have any GM manual they break that down for you in the front of the manual. The 8th digit is the engine model. I believe G is LS1. I don't know the others.
