    2001 LQ4 with 98 below 4L80E

Im picking up my LQ4 on Thursday, and I'm looking for a 4l80E to go with it. I was wandering if the Pre LS 4l80e's would bolt up fine or would I just have to get a different FLEX plate. Let me know what complications I would have by doing this.

You'll need a flat flexplate, flexplate spacer(.400"), and longer bolts.

Will I have problem with connecting the LS harness and ECU to the 4l80e or will I have to use my TBI harness and ECU?

There are conversion topics here that cover everything. Basically its simpler to get an 80 harness and pcm. Other than that you will need to get the pcmtuned for 80 e and modify a 60e harness for the bigger trans.

Im running a 96 4l80 with no prob. But like red said it is easier if you start with a harness and pcm setup for the 80
