    picked up a motor/tranny

    01 yukon 5.3/4l60e
harness and all the acc/411 ecm
    50k miles
    drive by wire
    1250 out the door

it came with a round style engine cover on top

do i want to keep it drive by wire or change it to cable?

i have a cable harness/ecm from a 02 truck but no cable tb
and i still need to get the wire gas pedal set up

but anyways here is a picture of the motor

its going into a 1937 chevy truck, no picture of that yet

Initially, I didnt care for the idea of drive by wire but its not so bad.
LSX conversions, so easy a caveman can do it.

Its just more things to break but you do get cruise control for free with it.

    its a pretty small truck,
the frame at the front of the truck where the motor mounts is less then 30inches wide

the truck has a heavy duty steel bed thats 500 pounds, but i have a 1/2 ton
light duty bed thats less then 200 pounds, without the wood bed floor

my alittle brothers 57 chevy truck with a
chevy 283/turbo 350, with camero front frame clip weighed in at 3400 pounds

it doesn't have any of the extra stuff like today's vehicles have, witch weigh them down alot

If it is does have drive by wire, then it should be a 03+ motor. Also I don't think the 411 pcm will control the drive by wire.

i saw the motor in the suv and then i looked at the door for the year and it said 2/01

all the suv's i have seen are by wire

411 pcm came with the motor, i personally unbolted it and took the cover off from the engine bay
and the harness is a red/blue computer connection,
    isn't the 03 up red/green?

Ummmm.....DBW on trucks goes back to 2000 or 2001. The early Z engines had them. They're much gayer than the real one on something like a 2003 Denali....hahahaha. The original truck DBW throttle body is a hybrid that has an external TPS and IAC but a motor for the throttle opening. The newer ones that are extremely cool like mine have two internal TPS, no IAC, and much better packaging.

I HAVE A NEW IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING AC DELCO 2000-2002 TRUCK CABLE THROTTLE BODY FOR SALE
(even though I haven't made an ad)....
