Thread: LQ4/4l80e PARK NEUTRAL ?

  1. #1

    Smile LQ4/4l80e PARK NEUTRAL ?

I sent my harness off and got it simplified and it came back with no park neutral safety switch plugs on it, he said they are not used. I am putting it in my 1985 silverado. I thought that the ecu needs to know what gear the 4l80e is in.

Nope, the PCM tells it exactly which gear to go into. The other switch is for the dash and not necessary in your 85.

The older trucks have the shifter/starter interlock in the column but you probably already knew that.
