    LQ4 valve to piston clearence???

Hey guys got a 2004 LQ4 in my S10 and was looking at getting a Katech stage 2 cam...

Stage II Camshaft Kit P/N: KAT-A3702

    229 / 229 @ .050, .576 / .576 lift, 116 LSA
Lopier Idle than Stage I but still great driveability awesome power

    Matched Valvesprings
    Custom Pushrods

    Price: $595.00

needed to know if .576 lift would cause my valves to hit the piston or if they had enough clearence for that??

You have way more clearance than that. Get as close to .600 lift as you can get. You'll definitely need the springs, too.

It's not the lift that determines clearance....when the valves are open the piston is down in the cylinder. It's the duration and ramp rate that generally determine clearance.
